Chicago Cubs Sports Cap

The franchise was founded in 1876 and were originally known as the Chicago White Stockings. In 1890 the team’s nickname became the Chicago Colts. The team changed their name to the Chicago Cubs for the 1903 season and even though the Chicago White Sox beat them in the 1906 World Series, the Cubs won 116 games that season, which gave them the best winning percentage (.763) in Major League Baseball history. They then won back-to-back World Series championships in 1907 and 1908, becoming the first franchise to play three times in the World Series and the first team to win it twice. But it would be another 108 years until the Cubs won another World Series which occurred in 2016. This happened to be the longest championship drought in North American professional sports.
